MALECON FIRECRACKERS

last night i was invited to a dinner at lower matacombe, people from the church. not only was an exquisite seafood prepare by idolidia, la negrathe best rafter who cooks fish between princeton and key west, but the guests' class she had. playing domino had a cubanito newcomer, fast talker and quick minded, in his twenties, lurking the sarcasm of the naivety and just hang up the phone with his cousin on the island, who he called to report the first month in united states. then he tells me that the very first thing he said to his cousin was that he's surprised by the lack of air in miami. when his cousin asked why, he replied him that everytime he enters a residence here, host says: close the door to avoid leaking the air. and then his cousin inform him about the havana holidays and his new date, the gal he left in havana, that his cousin now got enchated with the tennis shoes nike and the marlin cap that the sent him. both laughed and the miamense asked the habanero if he had seen the malecon firecrackers. the havana's cousin told him yes. and the miami's cuban, as he knows about ramoncito fleet, asked the havana's cuban if he cry 'freedom' at the moment of the sparks in the sky. the cousin in havana told him that it was too drunk by tightening the girl to be fooling around. and that in addition, as already cuba don't spend money in fireworks because they're very expensive, it has to be the celebrations of the fidel's birthday, which already everydody were talking about, everywhere. the cuban in miami told to the cuban in havana that the boat shooting the fires was from miami. and then the other said that on purpose of that ship, which in the next freight he could send him a 27 inches, high-definition panasonic tv plasma. then the miami's cousin decided not spending more time or saliva to explain his havana's cousin that he talked about democracy boat and not the freighter ship ana cecilia. that means to complicate someone who lives in havana, in carnivals, firstdating a new girl, with brand new clothes.©varela
