imagino que los aliados ingleses y franceses (quizas hasta canadienses y rusos) se esten riendo desde anoche. el simplismo americano y la ignorancia historica produce este tipo de show de television lastimero que se llama debate presidencial con tema de politica exterior. resulta que miramos el firmamento... y no vemos las estrellas. yo se que los gobiernos democratas nunca se ocupan del problema de la droga, son los republicanos. quizas por eso no se programo, en el listado de preguntas, nada sobre el drama mejicano de los zetas, ni de la narcoguerrilla colombiana que lleva 45 años en las lomas metiendo miedo y cuidando coca. la gente seria se preguntara: de donde es la droga? en que parte se cultiva y se procesa? quien cuida de esa industria que cuesta miles de muertos anuales y tanto problema en nuestras calles? tampoco, para el gran publico americano, existe la produccion mundial mas grande de amapola en afganistan, base del opio. de la misma manera cuba y venezuela se sustraen del ambiente, la primera con una ley que acaba de modificar su politica migratoria que pudiera costar miles -quizas millones- de emigrados apeandose en las costas yanquis; y la segunda, con una eleccion recien concluida con 6 años mas de gobierno hostil en la region. visto asi, es normal que los expertos y media nacion se extasie en la bobada de que el presidente 'le corrigio' al candidato un pasaje pintoresco como el de las bayonetas y los caballos donde le dijo que nuestra armada no era la misma de 1917 porque ahora habia aviones que descendian en barcos y botes que se sumergian. pero es que en la primera guerra mundial se peleo con portaviones y submarinos. quien esta jodido en historia es el negro, no el mormon. y tras su mandatario, toda la nacion americana. de todas formas la ecuacion de obama se le reduce a ganar en ohio y par de estados decisivos. la florida, segun analistas que saben, es republicana este año. con ese escenario la cosa se decidiria muy cerrada en votos electorales, porque el voto popular es de romney. pero si el presidente pierde ohio... no hace falta ni que donald trump aparezca mañana -como acaba de amenazar- a sacarle un secreto a barack josein en otro show de television mas.
